Tomb Monument

The grave of Hanns Heinen and his wife Erna Heinen-Steinhoff can be found in the Waldfriedhof graveyard in Solingen Ohligs. The gravestone was made by the Solingen-based sculptor Henryk Dywan (born 1933).

Henrik Dywan trained as a sculptor in the sculpting studio of Ludwig Nolde in Osnabrück between 1951 and 1954, before studying at Cologne’s Werkschulen until 1960. Ever since, Henryk Dywan has been living as an independent artist in Solingen. His studio is situated close to the “Black House”. Henryk Dywan made countless sculptures, many of which can be found in public spaces.
